The 50 bp DNA ladder is suitable for sizing linear double-stranded DNA fragments from 50 bp to 1.5 kb. The 17 bands of the ladder contain fragments with the following sizes

50, 100, 150, 200, 250, 300, 350, 400, 450, 500, 600, 700, 800, 900, 1000, 1200, 1500 bp

For easy reference on agarose gels, the 200, 500, and 1200 bp bands are much brighter than the other bands in the ladder. The recommended amount of size marker to load on an agarose gel is 0.56 µg per lane (5 µl).
