The M1R protein is a highly conserved membrane protein of Monkeypox virus (MPXV) and other orthopoxviruses. It is the homolog of the vaccinia virus L1R protein and is a key component of the viral entry fusion complex (EFC), which mediates membrane fusion and entry of the viral core into host cells. Because M1R is exposed on the surface of the intracellular mature virion (IMV) and is a major target of protective immune responses, it has become an important antigen for vaccine development, neutralizing antibody discovery, and diagnostic assay development.
eEnzyme's Anti-Monkeypox Virus M1R Mouse Monoclonal Antibody specifically recognizes the MPXV M1R protein and is suitable for applications including ELISA, virus neutralization assays, antigen detection, vaccine evaluation, and basic orthopoxvirus research. This monoclonal antibody provides a valuable reagent for studies of Monkeypox virus entry, host immune responses, and the development of antiviral therapeutics.
