About Influenza B Virus Hemagglutinin (HA) Recombinant Protein (B/Phuket/3073/2013, Yamagata Lineage)
Influenza B virus is an enveloped, negative-sense segmented RNA virus belonging to the family Orthomyxoviridae. Hemagglutinin (HA) is the major viral surface glycoprotein responsible for viral attachment to sialic acid-containing receptors on host cells and initiation of membrane fusion during viral entry. As the principal surface antigen, HA is the primary target of neutralizing antibodies and seasonal influenza vaccines.
