The Measles virus nucleoprotein (NP) is the major structural protein of the viral nucleocapsid and is essential for encapsidating the viral RNA genome and supporting viral transcription and replication. NP associates with the phosphoprotein (P) and RNA-dependent RNA polymerase (L) to form the ribonucleoprotein (RNP) complex required for efficient virus replication. As the most abundant and highly conserved viral protein, NP is widely used as a target for viral detection, immunological studies, and diagnostic assay development.
eEnzyme's Anti-Measles Virus Nucleoprotein (NP) Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody is generated against recombinant measles virus NP and recognizes multiple epitopes on the viral nucleoprotein. The antibody is suitable for applications including Western blotting, ELISA, immunofluorescence, immunohistochemistry, antigen detection, and basic measles virus research. This antibody provides a valuable reagent for investigating measles virus replication, viral protein expression, host immune responses, and the development of diagnostic assays.
