Rabies virus is an enveloped, negative-sense single-stranded RNA virus belonging to the genus Lyssavirus in the family Rhabdoviridae. The glycoprotein (G) is the only viral surface protein and is responsible for host-cell attachment, receptor binding, membrane fusion, and viral entry. Because the G protein is exposed on the virion surface and contains the major neutralizing epitopes, it is the primary target of protective immune responses, vaccine development, and antibody-based diagnostics.
eEnzyme's Anti-Rabies Virus Glycoprotein (G) Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody is generated against the recombinant ectodomain of the rabies virus glycoprotein and recognizes multiple epitopes on the viral G protein. The antibody is suitable for applications including ELISA, Western blotting, antigen detection, vaccine evaluation, and basic rabies virus research. It provides a valuable reagent for investigating rabies virus biology, host immune responses, and the development of vaccines and antiviral therapeutics.
