The extra large sized DNA ladder is suitable for sizing linear double-stranded DNA fragments from 250 bp to 25 kb. The 14 bands of the ladder contain fragments with the following sizes:

250bp, 500bp, 750bp, 400bp, 5k, 1.5k, 2k, 2.5k, 3k, 4k, 5k, 6k, 8k, 10k, 25k.

For easy reference on agarose gels, the 1kb and 1.5kb bands are much brighter than the other bands in the ladder.

The recommended amount of size marker to load on an agarose gel is 0.52 µg per lane (5 µl).
