About Influenza A Virus Hemagglutinin 1 (HA1) Recombinant Protein (A/Vietnam/1203/2004, H5N1)
Influenza A virus is an enveloped, negative-sense segmented RNA virus belonging to the family Orthomyxoviridae. Hemagglutinin (HA) is the major viral surface glycoprotein responsible for viral attachment to sialic acid-containing receptors on host cells and initiation of membrane fusion during viral entry. The HA1 subunit contains the receptor-binding domain and the major antigenic sites recognized by neutralizing antibodies, making it the principal target of protective immune responses and influenza vaccine development. The A/Vietnam/1203/2004 (H5N1) strain is a well-characterized highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI) virus that has been extensively used as a reference strain for influenza pathogenesis, vaccine, and antiviral research.
eEnzyme's Influenza A/H5N1 HA1 Recombinant Protein (A/Vietnam/1203/2004) is produced for research use and is suitable for antibody screening, receptor-binding studies, ELISA development, Western blotting, epitope mapping, structural characterization, and influenza vaccine research. This recombinant protein provides a valuable reagent for investigating influenza virus biology, host immune responses, and antiviral therapeutic development.
Applications
• Influenza H5 HA1 research
• Neutralizing antibody screening
• Receptor-binding studies
• ELISA and Western blot assays
• Epitope mapping
• Structural biology studies
• Influenza vaccine research
• Antiviral therapeutic development
Biological Significance of Influenza HA1
The HA1 subunit is responsible for recognition of host cell receptors and contains the dominant antigenic epitopes targeted by neutralizing antibodies. Because HA1 is subject to continual antigenic evolution, it plays a central role in influenza virus host adaptation, immune escape, and vaccine strain selection. The Influenza A/H5N1 HA1 Recombinant Protein (A/Vietnam/1203/2004) provides a valuable research tool for studies of influenza pathogenesis, immune responses, vaccine evaluation, and diagnostic assay development.
