Detailed Description
Proteinase K is a broad-spectrum highly active serine protease. It exhibits a very broad cleavage specificity, and It preferentially degrades estel and peptide bands located next to a C-terminal hydrophobic, sulfuric, or aromatic amino acid. Our recombinant Proteinase K is derived from yeast based on the optimized gene of Engyodontium album by site-directed mutation. It is pufified by chromatography process, and is of RNase and DNase activities.
It is manufactured in compliance with the GMP guidelines, and the QC system is certified by ISO 9001:2008.
Application -Protein digestion -DNA, RNA, and phage purification -Chromosomal DNA preparation The stability of Proteinase K in urea and SDS and its ability to digest native proteins make it useful for a variety of applications, including preparation of chromosomal DNA for pulse-field gel electrophoresis, protein fingerprinting, in situ hybridization, colony or plaque hybridization, etc.
