About Zika Virus Envelope (E) Glycoprotein
Zika virus (ZIKV) is a mosquito-borne flavivirus associated with congenital Zika syndrome, neurological complications, and epidemic outbreaks worldwide. The Envelope (E) glycoprotein is the major surface protein of Zika virus and plays a critical role in viral attachment, receptor binding, membrane fusion, and host-cell entry. Biological Significance of the E Protein
The Zika virus Envelope protein functions as the primary mediator of viral entry into host cells.
